Walter De Agostino

He graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Rome ‘Tor Vergata’, and was admitted to the Italian Bar in October 23rd, 1997.

Expert in criminal law, corporate criminal law, criminal execution, extradition and European arrest warrant, protection of fundamental human rights and freedoms, has developed, in over twenty years of practice, specific experience in assistance, protection and defense, in criminal proceedings, of natural persons and legal entities (including crimes committed by directors, statutory auditors, auditors, supervisors, employees), developing, at the same time, specific skills in the matter of property crimes, crimes related to entrepreneurial and commercial activities, as well as crimes related to drug trafficking.

Profound connoisseur of the criminal execution in Italy, of the problems associated with the matter of extradition and the European arrest warrant, he has always dealt with the protection of the rights of prisoners and persons deprived of personal liberty, with the aim of guaranteeing the application of the rights protected by the European Convention on Human Rights through the promotion of the appeal to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

He is a member of the UIA (Union Internationale des Avocats), DELF (the Defense Extensions Lawyers’ Forum) and the ECBA (European Criminal Bar Association), an association in which he is a member of the Human Rights Committee.

In January 2016 he published the e-book with Key Editrice entitled “The rights of prisoners in Italy – Guarantees and protections in the light of the ECHR”.
